Pan-Fried Soup Dumplings

Description

If you have already taken our Chinese Dumplings class and are ready to step up your game, this would be a fun, delicious challenge for you! Come join us for an evening of learning the techniques and methods of creating juicy soup dumplings bursting with flavorful mix of pork and chives filling at every bite.

Master the secret of creating dumpling filling from scratch that will give you a juicy burst of soup and meaty filling when you sink your teeth into these dumplings that will have slightly crunchy finish on the outside and absolutely juicy and moist in the inside. You’ll get a chance to work with high-quality store-bought dumpling wrappers and our expert Chef Instructor will demo how you can create the dumpling skin at home. You’ll also get to practice your knife skills and learn how to properly cut, chop, and dice to make the classic dumpling filling from scratch. Find out about our favorite resources in San Francisco for sourcing ingredients and basic equipment for dumpling making at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 2-4.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
