If you love fresh ravioli but don't think you could ever replicate what you would order from a restaurant, this class will prove you wrong.
Our expert Chef Instructor will teach you to make pasta dough from scratch by cracking an egg in a well of flour then mixing it all together with a fork. After forming and kneading your dough, you will let it rest, and then roll it out before filling your pasta sheets with a delicious five cheese filling! Learn to master the infamous Bolognese sauce of your dreams, understanding the functionality of each ingredient in making the sauce as traditional as possible. Your beautiful pasta dish will be served along with a side salad.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Guests in the same booking party will sit and work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Chef Rich will have a welcome drink (wine or beer) available for each guest, but guests are also welcome to BYOB.
Chef Rich is originally from Pittsburgh, PA, and has spent the past 30 years honing his skills throughout the East Coast and Southern United States. He attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, where he earned a degree in Culinary Arts and has a B.S. in Food Services Management. His resume offers a wide array of experiences including fine-dining restaurants, high-volume corporate chains, country clubs, and hotels in addition to teaching cooking classes.
