Be transported to Paris’ Le Cordon Bleu for a delicious afternoon of French Pastry! How will you know?! You just have to trust us.

In this memorable, hands-on class, you will learn the art of French Choux pastry. Our Pastry Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating how to make the perfect choux dough, piping, baking and filling to create Eclairs and Profiteroles! Master these easy recipes and you can make many pastries most bakers are scared to try!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

Please arrive on time, wearing your mask. Please note that class will be hosted in Chef John's home with ample space to social distance booking parties from one another. Chef John is also maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines. Guests are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, or champagne).

Meet your chef instructor
Chef John joins us in Seattle after having just moved from North Carolina. He has worked in every aspect of a restaurant while in Los Angeles, San Franciso, and Atlanta. He was even Whitney Houston's personal chef! He is thrilled to be working in Seattle and can't wait to share his craft with new students.
Where the class will be
Guest requirement
Chef John lives on a steep hillside. Look out for signs to help you navigate yourself to the entrance, which will be through the side gate and a short walk around to the side door. Everything will be marked so that it's easy for you to find. Guests are invited to BYOB wine, champagne or beer. At this time, all guests are required to wear masks during class regardless of vaccination status. Your chef instructor will wear a mask throughout the entire class as well. Guests will be allowed to remove their masks when eating and drinking. As a result, booking parties will be socially distanced from one another while eating. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

This class was fun and informative. Chef John was ready for the students with gear and ingredients in place for each student. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. There was plenty of room for each person to work. Chef John demonstrated and then coached the students successfully as we tried to duplicate his techniques. Chef John's attitude was friendly and he invited questions as he demonstrated. He ensured everyone could see what he was doing. Easy to talk to! His skills are apparent as we learned what to do and how to do it. Our profiteroles and eclairs were a big success. I would take other classes from Chef John if the opportunity arises. I would have liked to have had the recipes ahead of time so I could take notes as I followed along. If I had realized ahead of time, I would have brought my own containers to simplify transporting my goodies home. Chef John generously had supplies on hand, though. Thank you! Thank you for this fun class with a delicious outcome!!
