Feeling festive? Want to really get into the Christmas spirit? Prepare to impress your family and friends this holiday season with this classic Christmas cake making the perfect centerpiece for your festive table.

In this fun and interactive seasonal class, our experienced Pastry Chef Instructor will guide you step-by-step through how to perfect the traditional Buche de Noel! This Yule log cake is a traditional dessert generally served near Christmas time in Europe, the UK and the US. Made of sponge cake to resemble a miniature Yule log, it is a form of sweet roulade. You will learn the technical process of balancing ingredients, making a sponge cake, proofing, baking, filling, rolling and decorating.

You'll have the opportunity to interact with Chef Michele throughout the class and ask questions along the way. You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef in your own kitchen include: eggs, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose or cake flour, baking powder, salt, heavy cream, confectioners sugar, vanilla extract, chocolate chips, and butter. An electronic hand mixer is recommended for this class.

Chef Michele is a certified Culinarian and certified Wine and Spirits expert, having extensive experience as a Pastry Chef and Prep Chef. She received her Certified Culinarian and Prochef Certification from the Culinary Institute of America. Additionally, Chef Michele is a Wine Steward and Sommelier, receiving her Certified Wine and Spirits Expert Level 3 from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET). In addition to these accolades, Chef Michele is a successful business owner and operator, having experience with several internet sales and services businesses. Chef Michele enjoys elegant entertaining, fishing, Cape Cod beach life and creating new and exciting culinary treats! She also thrives on sharing her culinary and wine knowledge with all!

Cancellation policy

Michele’s class on Buche De Noel was amazing! Turned out beautiful! Can’t believe I made it!! Looks like it was bought from a fancy bakery! Michele is a wonderful teacher who really takes the time to walk you through each step. She even offers substitutions which is great because we are gluten free. Will be taking a lot more classes with Chef Michele ❤️

This was my second class with Michele in a week and once again I thoroughly enjoyed it! Michele makes a dish/recipe that appears to be very complex, very clearcut and easy. Michele is very patient with questions from participants and makes accommodations for each person's individual needs.
