The Art of French Pastry

Description

Be transported to Paris' Le Cordon Bleu for an afternoon of French Pastry!

In this memorable, hands-on class, you will learn the art of French Choux pastry. Choux has the reputation for being difficult, but it’s surprisingly simple! Our Chef Instructor will take you through a detailed demonstration, before you will be guided step-by-step in replicating how to make the perfect choux dough, piping, baking and filling to create Cream Puffs, or Profiteroles! You will make a sweet and savory choux. One with Vanilla Pastry cream and the other with Cheese and spices (Gougeres).

No experience is required! All equipment and ingredients will be provided. Our events are casual and meant to be fun, relaxing and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and get settled, wearing your mask. Please note that class will be hosted in our Chef Instructor, Kathryn's, home with ample space in the kitchen to social distance booking parties from one another. Kathryn is also maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines.

This was an amazing class! I really learned step by step how to make cream puff pastry/savory pastry. Kathryn did an excellent job, and was very nice to talk with while we baked. I will definitely be attending any additional classes she has to offer for cooking/baking. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
