Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. You’ll learn to make three types of sushi rolls: California Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, and a traditional Cucumber Roll.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. The class location within the hotel varies based on availability, unfortunately we cannot guarantee the rooftop every class. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef Hiroki is originally from Osaka, Japan. He trained as a Japanese chef at the New Otani Hotel in Osaka for two years and was transferred to Greenville, SC in October, 1999. After that, he started working as a sushi chef in Memphis and Chattanooga, TN. He returned to Greenville, SC once more and taught sushi classes at The Cook Station for two years. He then worked at a Japanese restaurant in Charlotte, NC for six years and then as a chef in Boulder, CO for two years before moving to Atlanta. He loves to share knowledge about Japanese cuisine and welcomes students to ask any questions they have about sushi or Japanese food in general.

The nature of our classes is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Secure your vehicle with our Valet team when you arrive, which offers 0-2 hours for $20, 2-4 hours for $30, and 4-24 hours for $38 self-parking or $45 for valet parking. The class location within the hotel varies based on availability, unfortunately we cannot guarantee the rooftop every class. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only please!
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

My girls and I, had a blast. I Would absolutely do that again. We had the rooftop and it was so beautiful. The reverb is right next to the mercedes stadium. So we got to see that grom the roof as well. All in all, The class was so easy and fun. Chef Hiroki also had his son help out, and that was so cute. I would definitely go back.
