Better Than Takeout Pad Thai

Description

This class can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Who needs takeout! It has never been so easy to prepare restaurant quality Thai dishes in your own kitchen with the abundance of fresh produce and Thai ingredients within easy reach. Escape to the streets of Thailand as we create one of the most famous Thai classics, Pad Thai!  We will be working with shrimp but will also have tofu available as an alternative protein option.

In this fun and interactive Pad Thai cooking class, you'll dive into the rich flavors and techniques behind Thailand's beloved dish. Whether you're a novice or an experienced cook, you'll learn to prepare a traditional Pad Thai from scratch, mastering the balance of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors that make this dish so irresistible. Throughout the class, your chef instructor will guide you through each step, from preparing the authentic sauce to stir-frying the ingredients to perfection. You'll work with fresh vegetables, proteins, and rice noodles, and discover the secrets of perfecting the crispy, tender textures that define Pad Thai. We’ll also explore variations of the dish to suit different tastes and dietary preferences. By the end of the class, you'll have the skills to recreate this mouthwatering Thai street food at home, impressing family and friends with your culinary prowess. Plus, you'll leave with a newfound appreciation for the art of Thai cooking, and a recipe to continue your Pad Thai journey long after the class ends.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment.  Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price and will be available to purchase from the hotel bar.

Reviews
Trisha Nai D.
Chef Asha was amazing! Super warm, super accommodating, truly above and beyond. I don’t eat chicken, so we whipped up a separate shrimp Pad Thai together, which made the experience feel even more personal. She even filmed me when I asked (which no one ever does!). She shared all her tricks, kept checking in to see how we felt, and really made the whole thing feel thoughtful and collaborative. You can tell she genuinely cares. It felt like cooking with a friend. 10/10 would recommend.
