Join us for a truly sweet class, hosted by one of the winners of the Donut Showdown on the Cooking Channel!
In this fun-filled interactive class, you will enjoy learning how to make Classic Glazed, Chocolate Cake and Apple Fritter donuts from scratch! Each guest will take home 12 mini donuts at the end of class. Our experienced Pastry Chef Instructor will guide you step-by-step in replicating the process of making, kneading, proving, resting and shaping both yeasted and cake doughs, before teaching you how to fry your own donuts. You will then learn how to create classic glazes, before dipping and rolling your doughnuts and finishing them off! There's nothing like enjoying a donut while it's still warm!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be able to be accommodated. Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Jaime's apartment. Jaime shares her home with 2 dogs. Though they will be in another room to themselves throughout the class, this class is not suitable to those allergic or afraid of dogs. Guests are invited to BYOB (beer and wine only).
