A Taste of Valencia: Spanish Paella & Wine Pairing

Description

Escape to Valencia with our authentic Spanish Paella class! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn how to create this famous Spanish favorite known for its signature golden saffron hue, smoky flavors of chorizo, fresh seafood and textured vegetables. You will also learn how to flavor profile and blend Spanish flavors, and where to source fresh, seasonal ingredients in order to master the perfect Paella at home. Each group will make and share their own Paella to enjoy at the end of class.

To make your experience a little more enjoyable Chef Sean will provide a delicious Malbec for each of his guests to enjoy and will lead an explanation on how to pair wines with Spanish cuisine, such as this big bold dish that you'll be making in class. To further participate in the wine pairing component of class, Chef Sean recommends bringing a bottle along with you as well. Choose between a light Malbec, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, or a Buttery Chardonnay (or more than one if you wish!). You can share some of your wine of choice with the group to engage in a fun wine tasting led by your chef instructor while you enjoy your meal.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive on time, wearing your mask. Please note that class will be hosted in Chef Sean's home kitchen. He is maintaining a sanitized space, for your safety, as per CDC guidelines.
