Hand-Rolled Sushi

Description

Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls at home, including how to prepare sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. You’ll learn to make three types of sushi rolls:  Spicy Kani Roll, a Salmon Avocado Roll, and a Healthy Veggie Roll.  To top things off, Chef will demo a delicious scratch made sauce to accompany each roll.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking and check in, especially if you’re part of a large group.  Guests will work in groups throughout the class, sharing equipment and ingredients. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price.  Classes are intended for adults 21+.

Meet your chef instructor

Meet Chef Richard—a culinary instructor with a rich background and an infectious passion for food. Originally from Taiwan, Richard spent part of his twenties traveling and working around the world, immersing himself in diverse cultures and cuisines. After running his own successful restaurant for over 18 years, he shifted gears to focus on teaching, seeking a more relaxed and engaging way to share his love for cooking. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys movies and music, always drawing inspiration from the arts. He’s thrilled to bring his experience, energy, and creativity to his class—and he can’t wait to get rolling with everyone!
