Join Chef Nathan for a fun, hands-on cooking class where you'll learn how to make delicious Chicken and Prawn Dumplings completely from scratch. From preparing a perfectly seasoned filling to mastering traditional folding techniques, you'll gain the skills and confidence to recreate these crowd-pleasing dumplings at home.
Once your dumplings are assembled, you'll learn the best cooking techniques to achieve tender wrappers and juicy, flavorful fillings. To complete the dish, you'll make a Tahini Chili Dipping Sauce that perfectly complements the dumplings.
Along the way, Chef Nathan will share professional tips, time-saving techniques, and the culinary inspiration behind the recipes, making this an engaging and approachable experience for cooks of all skill levels.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. BYOB is welcome, so for those over 21+ please feel free to bring your own beer and wine.
Chef Nathan Williams discovered his passion for cooking at a young age while helping his grandmother prepare family meals. Inspired by those early experiences, he pursued Culinary Arts in both high school and college, building a strong foundation in the culinary field. By age 30, Nathan achieved his goal of becoming an Executive Chef. Today, as the owner of The Nappy Chef, he provides catering, private dining experiences, and culinary education. Through programs like Nappy Chef Juniors, he teaches children and adults essential cooking skills, food safety, and kitchen confidence, helping strengthen communities through the power of food.
The nature of our classes is set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. Guests who are 21+ are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only). Please email hello@cocusocial.com with any assistance needed.
