Authentic Tagliatelle al Pesto

Description

Put a fresh spin on tradition and explore the flavors of Northern Italy—no passport required.

Join us for a hands-on culinary experience that brings together the history, techniques, and iconic dishes of Italy’s most celebrated regions. In this interactive class, you’ll learn how regional specialties come to life through time-honored methods, all in a fun and social setting.

What You’ll Make

Your journey begins in Liguria, home to Genoa and the birthplace of pesto alla Genovese. Skip the food processor—your chef instructor will guide you through the authentic method of making basil pesto using a mortar and pestle, just as it’s been done for generations.

Next, we head to Emilia-Romagna, one of Italy’s most renowned food regions, famous for ingredients like Mortadella, Prosciutto di Parma, and rich Bolognese sauce. Here, you’ll learn how to make fresh egg tagliatelle completely from scratch, building essential pasta-making skills along the way.

To bring it all together, we take inspiration from Veneto as you cook and plate your handmade pasta dish. Once complete, you’ll sit down to enjoy a beautifully crafted plate of pasta that captures the essence of Italy’s regional cuisine.

Throughout the class, your chef will guide you through foundational techniques, from dough preparation to sauce building and plating, giving you the confidence to recreate these dishes at home.

Perfect for date night, a night out with friends, or anyone looking to expand their cooking skills, this class blends hands-on learning with storytelling, tradition, and plenty of delicious bites. All tools and ingredients are provided—just bring your curiosity and appetite.
