Embark on a culinary journey as we explore making the classic Italian pasta, fettuccine, completely from scratch.
We'll begin class by creating fresh pasta dough by hand. While the dough rests, your Chef Instructor will demonstrate how to make a silky, classic Italian panna cotta, sharing tips and techniques for achieving the perfect texture every time.
Once your dough is ready, you'll roll it out using either a traditional rolling pin or a pasta machine before cutting it into beautiful fettuccine strands. Next, we'll prepare a fresh tomato and basil sauce that perfectly complements your handmade pasta. Along the way, you'll learn how to balance flavors, work with fresh herbs, and finish pasta like a pro.
After cooking your fresh fettuccine, you'll sit down to enjoy your handmade pasta, followed by a serving of the Chef's homemade panna cotta for the perfect sweet ending to your Italian feast.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
Tommaso was co-owner of the Italian restaurant TANTI BACI in NYC, before spending time in
Peru to learn about Amazonian produce and agricultural practice. It was in Peru that he started the tomato sauce brand DUE AMICI, which is still being sold in Lima today. After moving back to NYC, Tommaso opened PROPRIO COSI, a company that will serve “on the go” organic food, with ingredients from local farms and businesses. He’s also the producer of a bi-monthly literary podcast series based on award-winning short stories and novels.
Class will take place on the Terrace of the hotel. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price, but will be available for sale at the venue. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only. For any guests booked individually, if you are part of a larger group please email hello@cocusocial.com at least 48 hours prior to your class to confirm your full booking party size and the names of the others in your group. If your chef made your class extra special, feel free to leave a tip after class as a thank-you.
