Homemade Apple Pie

Description

What's the most fall thing you can do this season? Why, bake an apple pie of course! Especially if you go apple picking first, to select the juiciest, most crisp apples-that's the quintessential fall day.

Join Chef Michele from her Cape Cod kitchen as she takes you through the process of making a beautiful homemade apple pie!

You will first learn to make Michele's Flaky Pie Crust. Save the recipe because this can be used for future sweet and savory baking! Mix together the ingredients and roll out the dough so that it can be used as the flaky top and bottom layers of your pie. Next, you'll work together to make the apple pie filling, any local and seasonal apples will do! After carefully assembling, you'll place the pie in the oven and wait patiently for it to bake and cool slightly before enjoying it fresh out the oven. Make sure to have some vanilla ice cream on hand if you want the full drool-worthy experience.

You will receive an email with the equipment and ingredients list. However, the main ingredients required to participate along with the chef include: all-purpose flour, salt, butter, sour cream, apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and one egg.

Prepare your mis-en-place ahead of the session by measuring out all of your ingredients as per the recipe and let’s get baking together!

Tickets are on a per-person basis. Please note our class times are in Eastern Time Zone!
