Make Your Own Sushi

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and learn how to create your own fresh sushi rolls like a pro? You are in for a special treat!

In this highly interactive and hands-on class, the Chef will let you in on tips and tricks of making delicious sushi rolls, from preparing the perfect sushi rice, cutting the fresh ingredients properly, and the art of rolling. This casual and easy to follow class will surely engage all your senses! All participants will make three variations - a roll featuring Tuna or Salmon, a California Roll, and a "catch of the day" which will make use of fresh, locally sourced fish and sustainable ingredients. You are invited to let your creativity flow and try rolling with seaweed both inside and out and mix and match different ingredients to develop your own unique edition.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Aprons will be provided for you to use throughout class. Our venue partner, will have a wonderful selection of pours available for purchase from the venue BYOB is not allowed..

Chef Scott is very knowledgeable, but I would expect more into hand-on or actions on how to cook rice & seasoning rice too. I know it’s time limited, but I am still appreciate all of the good information Chef gave us though.
