These small, flavorful dishes aren’t just about food — they’re about sharing, conversation, and celebrating life in good company. In this class we will explore a few of the most traditional tapas from Spain using simple ingredients and super easy techniques to create a wonderful and flavorful spread that is sure to impress your guests. These very adaptable recipes are great to have on hand – whether you’re hosting a small gathering, date night or movie night with the family, from sizzling garlic shrimp (gambas al ajillo) to savory patatas bravas and the traditional Spanish omelette (tortilla de patata) a great assortment of tasty bites that will make everyone happy.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).Escape to the bustling streets of exciting Barcelona while exploring the world of Spanish Tapas!

This class is NOT BYOB. The venue will have a variety of drinks available for purchase. Please arrive 15 min early to check in and settle in. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment.  

To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes.  Classes are intended for adults 21+.

Born in San Diego and raised in Ensenada (Baja, Mexico), Chef Lui grew up in a multicultural family driven by food and hospitality for generations. Naturally, he developed a passion for food and wine that drove him to become both a Chef and a Winemaker. Trained in classical French technique at the Napa Valley Cooking School, he has continued to pursue a career in the culinary world both in the U.S. and Mexico, focusing on promoting global flavors and fostering an appreciation for cultural diversity through food.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
