Learn the art of making French Beignets (Donuts) to rival the infamous Cafe Du Monde! In this class you'll learn both the fried and oven baked techniques. Both are equally enjoyable and easy to recreate at home.
You will learn the process of working with the dough from the kneading stage to the proving stage. Then you will roll out your dough into small "beignet buns"or square shapes before baking or frying. No matter how you cook them, your beignets will be perfect for filling with jam, nutella, or custard before finishing them off with a generous amount of powdered sugar.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Please ensure you arrive promptly with proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a form of ID for each participant. This class is NOT BYOB and drinks are NOT available for purchase at the venue. You will be provided with a takeaway container to enjoy your donuts at home after class, free from wearing your mask.
