In this fun and interactive class, you will learn how to create this famous Spanish favorite known for its signature golden saffron hue, smoky flavours of chorizo, fresh seafood and textured vegetables. You will also learn how to flavour profile and blend Spanish flavors, and where to source fresh, seasonal ingredients in order to master the perfect Paella. Perfect for entertaining, wow your friends and family at your next dinner party with your new found signature dish!

This one of a kind hands-on cooking class teaches you to cook from within the kitchen of the beautiful Boston restaurant, Bastille Kitchen. You'll learn first hand how to make your dish from the restaurant's own Executive Chef.

No experience necessary! The only requirement is a fun attitude and a love of good food. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. Drinks will be available for purchase from the venue. 21+ only please.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Kendall is the Executive Chef at Bastille Kitchen. Chef Kendall is of Jamaican descent and is inspired by all cuisines from around the world. Partnered with the African American Museum in Boston, Chef Kendall strives to educate not only on techniques of the cuisine, but also the gastronomy behind it all. Food is not just a meal, it’s a journey. Let's explore.
Where the class will be
Guest requirement
Masks are required at all times in the venue aside from when you are eating or drinking at your table. Guests are also welcome to bring their own aprons to class. Outside drinks are not allowed. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. 21+ only. There is a parking garage behind the restaurant and street parking along the street.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.

Amazing! Chef Kendall was the perfect instructor. He created a judgment free atmosphere to learn for someone who might be intimidated by cooking but was also hands off enough to cater to someone with more experience. He included tons of great tips throughout his instruction. The end result was delicious! Excited to take more classes with him.

Wonderful experience. I love the personal touch and being inside the professional kitchen. Even in covid times, it felt very safe. The kitchen and dining area were extremely clean. What an amazing time was had by all. I loved how chef Kendall was hands on yet didn’t feel like he was over crowding you and let you season your food the way that was best for you. He taught us well and made sure everyone was comfortable. I liked how he gave us some knowledge of the food and even taught us some kitchen lingo. I would defiantly sign up for a class with him again.
