Are you ready to learn how to master the art of creating sushi rolls like a pro?

In this fun, hands-on, and energetic class, our expert Chef Instructor will take you through the art of making four tasty and unique sushi rolls with plant-based ingredients you may never have enjoyed in sushi before! This is the perfect class for those lovers of plants or anyone who simply doesn't eat fish or shellfish. There will be plenty of food and protein substitutions so you will leave the class fully satisfied.

During class you will create an Intro Roll (Avocado, Cucumber, and Japanese Red Pepper), a Green City Roll (Avocado Shell, Sesame Seaweed Salad, Cucumber), a Sweet and Crunchy Roll (Teriyaki Tofu, Japanese Radish, Cucumber, Sweet Potato Crunch), and a Tropical Fountain Roll (Grilled Pineapple, Cucumber, Papaya Salad, Pea Sprouts). This is a sushi class unlike any other you've ever taken before! You can be sure that only the freshest vegetables and ingredients will be used to take your sushi making game to new heights.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. You will be seated within your group and socially distanced from the other guests. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class. You are welcome to BYOB.

There is not a position in the restaurant that Chef Alex has not held working 25 years in Japanese cuisine. From Chicago to Tokyo and back, everything from commercial tuna and seafood work to Izakaya and Teppanyaki has left its mark (usually visible) as Chef Alex continues to show everyone fun and stress free ways to be sociable AND learn something of Japanese food.

The space is situated in an 1850 sq. ft. storefront with beautiful exposed brick and large windows in Chicago's Humboldt Park Neighborhood. Our space offers everything you need to create the stunning occasion you and your guest swill always remember. The space capacity is 50-60 guests. Perfect for large and intimate gatherings of all kinds.
Guest requirement
All guests are required to show proof of full vaccination in order to participate in class as of January 3, 2022. Your Chef Instructor will be checking vaccine cards and apps during check in. All guests are required to wear masks during class regardless of vaccination status. Your chef instructor will wear a mask throughout the entire class as well. Guests will be allowed to remove their masks when eating and drinking. As a result, booking parties will be socially distanced from one another while eating. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. However, guests are welcome to BYOB.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
