Asian Dumplings

Discover the flavorful world of Asian Dumplings!

In this hands-on cooking class, our Chef Instructor will teach you how to make dumplings with explosive flavor and the perfect texture.

Guests will master the recipes for either a chicken or pork, and vegetarian filling to stuff their dumplings in the following traditional folding techniques: jiaozi, gyoza, and sheng jian bao.

Dive deep into the traditional flavors of ginger, sesame, coriander and scallions. Top your creations with a hint of Asian spice and everything nice. Our Chef Instructor will demonstrate the technique behind the simple boiling method, which is easy to replicate at home to enjoy your dumplings as fresh as possible.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask, especially if you’re part of a large group. Guests are also welcome to BYOB (beer, wine, or champagne only).

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Dequandre holds several accolades as a result of his culinary career, including winning 1st place in the city "say cheese" culinary competition in 2018. He has been the executive chef of the Embassy Suites Hotel in Schaumburg and a private chef for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Fire Soccer teams. In 2015 he founded his own company, Signature Plates by Dequandre Williams Inc. Prior to CocuSocial, he has also taught cooking classes at Gallery 37.

Where the class will be
Guest requirement
Parking is available in the parking lot closest to the main entrance. Classes will be held in the recreation center. Masks are required at all times in the venue aside when you are eating or drinking. Guests are also welcome to bring their own aprons to class. Drinks are NOT available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. However, guests are welcome to BYOB (beer, wine, or champagne only).
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
