Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun!

Come and learn how to spread, layer, tuck and roll your way to sushi heaven. In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you’ll learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls at home, including how to prepare and season sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, and add additional tasty ingredients to enhance your dining experience.

You’ll learn to make three distinct sushi rolls, chosen by our expert chef instructor: Smoked Salmon with veggies and cream cheese, Fresh Tuna nigiri with fresh wasabi, and a Vegan Veggie roll with ginger.

No experience is necessary to enjoy this fun and casual class! Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are not included in the ticket price. However, guests are welcome to BYOB.

Meet your chef instructor
Chef Holly is currently the Sous Chef and Kitchen Manager at TIm Garing’s Jackalope Grill in Bend, OR. She is also a master roaster and owns a coffee roasting company in Central Oregon. She spent her high school career in Central America at an international boarding school where she fell in love with cooking. Her experience ranges from private dinners with locally sourced protein and produce, to catering events for charities such as Doctors in Medicine. This year she was even invited to be one of eight competitors in Top Chef Central Oregon.

Guest requirement
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask. At this time, all guests are required to wear masks during class regardless of vaccination status. Your chef instructor will wear a mask throughout the entire class as well. Guests will be allowed to remove their masks when eating and drinking. As a result, booking parties will be socially distanced from one another while eating. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. However, guests are welcome to BYOB (beer, wine, or champagne). The parking lot north of openHAUS is available to park in. In the evening there are usually about 10 spaces available. Otherwise, people can park at the natural grocers parking lot or neighborhood parking.
Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
