In this dumpling-making class, you’ll dive into the art of crafting delicious, savory dumplings from scratch. We’ll begin by preparing a traditional pork and or cabbage filling that’s juicy, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. You’ll also have the opportunity to build your knife skills as you help prep ingredients for the filling.

From there, the fun really begins! You’ll learn how to fill and fold your dumplings, exploring classic shapes like crescent and pleated styles using dumpling wrappers. Our chef will guide you through essential cooking techniques, including steaming and pan-frying, so your dumplings come out perfectly tender with just the right crisp.

Along the way, we’ll share helpful tips, tricks, and favorite local resources for sourcing ingredients and equipment so you can confidently recreate dumplings at home.

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. This class is designed to be just as fun for hands-on cooking enthusiasts as it is for those who prefer to observe, assist, or simply enjoy taste testing along the way.

Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Classes are intended for adults 18+. Outside drinks are not permitted. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price; however, guests may purchase wine/cocktails (21+), from the venue.

Meet your chef instructor

Chef Nathan is a graduate of Tarrant County College, where he earned his degree in Culinary Arts. Born and raised in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas, his passion for cooking began at the age of 12 with his first attempt at making scrambled eggs—an experience that, while not immediately successful, sparked a lifelong journey in the kitchen.

After an early mishap that briefly kept him out of the kitchen, Chef Nathan went on to spend most of his life cooking in various capacities. He has held a wide range of roles throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including dishwasher, line cook, and sous chef. He also gained experience outside the kitchen, working as a purchasing manager for nutrition services at a prestigious hospital in Dallas.

Beyond his professional life, Chef Nathan enjoys German Hefeweizen beer, playing pool, and spending time with his chocolate Labrador. A self-proclaimed romantic, he has a deep love for food, humor, and his fiancée.

Cancellation policy
Reschedule request have to be made at least 48 hours before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 14 days for groups of 6 people or more. Cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable.See terms and policy.
