Thai Red Curry

Description

Learn to make a classic Thai curry that rivals your favorite neighborhood takeaway spot.

Thai cooking emphasizes lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and a spicy edge.  Thai Red Curry Paste is a versatile and flavorful base for many Thai dishes.  The classic recipe consists of red chili peppers, garlic, salt, lemongrass, turmeric, and shrimp paste.  But, it will work perfectly if you buy the paste at the store ahead of class.

Join Chef Jen in her Chicago kitchen, as she guides you step-by-step in recreating this red thai curry that can be made with chicken or eggplant for a vegetarian option.  Once you have created your curry masterpiece, you will serve it over steamed white rice to enjoy a delicious, warming meal.

No experience is required! Invite your friends and family to join you for class, so you can connect virtually and enjoy a fun experience cooking together. No experience is required! Please recognize that I am not complaining. I really appreciated how knowledgeable Jen was and the flow of the presentation. To improve the experience, I would suggest that Jen use a portable microphone as sometimes it was difficult to hear her. Also, and this may have been a setting on my end....but there was a CocuSocial banner that kept on appearing during the presentation. It was like there were two presentation screens - one for Jen and one for the CocuSocial banner and it kept on flipping between the two screens. We didn't get to watch everything that Jen did as it kept on flipping between the two screens. We still enjoyed the evening and will register for more! Thanks!!!

To be honest, we prepared the dish early because we cook quite a bit and use many of the ingredients called for on a regular basis. Also, we didn't want to eat dinner too late. But we did tune in and watched the whole demonstration and it was very enjoyable! We thought the recipe was delicious! Enjoyed it alot!
